With the euphoria of the Indian Premier League all but settled, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and his team will have to quickly get back into the one-day mode to snap Pakistan's 12-match winning streak when the traditional rivals face off in the second match of the tri-series in Dhaka on Tuesday.

Pakistan routed Bangladesh by 70 runs in the tri-series opener on Sunday to extend their unbeaten streak to 12 matches and Dhoni's young Indian side have a tough task on their hands to halt the arch-rivals.

India aiming for third place in ODIs

Pakistan coach Geoff Lawson has already sounded the war bugle when he said that his wards would look to thump India by a bigger margin to make it 13 wins in a row.

India, severely under-strength because of pre-tournament injury woes, would be in for further trouble as opener Virender Sehwag is a doubtful starter due to high fever.

Besides, the team is still awaiting the arrival of pacer S Sreesanth's replacement Manpreet Singh Gony.

India is still a good team, I am hoping to see a more competitive game than the first one day.

I agree Parry, on the slow turning tracks of Bangladesh, Pakistan does seem to have the advantage.

More than a real test I think it would be a test for new players like Yousuf pathan and piyush chawla, and Raina will get a chance to cement his place in the team.

hi! guyz, i'm new to this community, let me just introduce myself, i'm sameer, i've a very good friend and former classmate here, asim, who introduced me to this site, and i'm looking forward to have a good time here.

big final today for IND and PAK, just have a feeling that PAK will win, inspite of the fact that IND are certainly stronger, for PAK their hopes will depend on the opening partnership and M.Yousuf, while IND will certainly be tested if sehwag and gambhir are dismissed cheaply, the inexperience of this indian team has certainly not been exploited so far.

Samsensation,

A very welcome to you on eCric Welcome Hope you stay active with friendly members on this site.

Your prediction came true. Pakistan has pulled it off. Great batting by Salman Butt and Younis Khan. Good fight by India but not good enough. India showed that they can bat deep down but they can do better. Yuvraj or Dhoni needs to go for a big winning score rather than a fighting 50.

thanks a lot panesar, great to be with u all... yes, pakistan are always very unpredictable, aren't they, salman happens to be one of my favt. cricketers and i'm very happy at his performance, younus played superbly today, he and M.Yousuf certainly are the pillars of PAK cricket at the moment.

IND are still a very talented side, there is no denying that, dhoni could have done better by batting up the order, and why on earth should yousuf pathan play at no.4, thats a schoker, he is much better off at no.6 or 7. there should be roles assigned for each players and i really can't see  the role of building an innings being given to YK pathan being very logical.

Agree with you there. Yusuf Pathan would have helpful to fire at the end. We need a "partnership-maker" in the middle order who can take it to the end and then players like Yusuf should come in and fire.

Welcome Sameer Good to see you here(Sameer is a very good friend of mine), believe me there are some really good people who have a good knowledge about the game of cricket on this site. Anyway pakistan pulled it off finally and India did play well but Pakistan just showed why they can be so unpredictable. Hope you enjoy your stay here.

My team also lost a match on Saturday, Like India we also gave more runs.

We gave 183/7 runs in 40 overs, i think its a bit more.
Due to pressure our guys got out trying to score.
We were all out for 113 in 32 overs.

Couple of main players were not there and we had to fill in with old lazy guys who hate to run behind the ball....
I sometimes get pissed with those guys, but what to do, they are senior in age.

I am little new to the team, hence i went @ No. 11 , I scored 2 runs of 3 balls.
I know i can bat a lot better than other guys who batted before me.

I was promised by my captain, that he will send me a little more up the order next time, looking forward to it.
Undoubtedly i m the second best fielder in the team. Live wire we can say.
(Best Fielder who is equivalent to me is my roommate Cheesy)

My new MRF bat is coming from India, next week thru my friend.
Hoping to get some more good statistics.

Will keep you guys posted on my experience.
